Additionally, it offers content creators a quick shop that enables them to directly license their images and a platform for content distribution that makes their work available on numerous content marketplaces and platforms. Of course, it benefits photos but also makes vector artwork and video distribution possible.
The new alliance offers a far wider circulation for the 3 million content items produced by the 100,000 contributors to the Wirestock platform. Both Getty Images and its subsidiary website iStock are included in the purchase. It's a massive victory for the young firm, which already has deals in place for distribution with companies like Adobe Stock, Alamy, Freepik, and others.
“For the longest time, we’ve been getting requests from creators who wanted to sell their content on Getty Images and iStock,” the CEO of Wirestock, Mikayel Khachatryan, told me by email. “We’re beyond excited for this partnership. It’ll help generate more income for content creators, which will, in turn, lead to more amazing photos and videos uploaded and distributed through our platform.”
